At 1:55 today, Aaron was taken to surgery. We prayed for him one last time, along with the anesthesiologist, and off he went. We don't expect to see him before 8:00 tonight, possibly later. The "Dream Team" as Don calls them, had one last meeting before taking Aaron up just to make sure everybody agreed with what was going to happen today. Dr. Drees came and said that Aaron will most likely have additional weekness in his right hand, but that it would be TEMPORARY!!! [there's that word again Sandy!]

Dr. Drees also took our digital camera in with her so she can take some pictures during surgery. Yes, I know, there are some of you who don't want to get those. I'll warn you ahead of time!

We are just trusting that Aaron will not experience enough additional deficit to warrant a stay at the rehab hospital. That would mean going straight to rehab from the hospital for about 5 days or so and he'd just as soon bypass that! He just wants to get home!!!
