What a difference a day makes! Aaron went up to the monitoring unit about 2:30 this afternoon. He is mighty uncomfortable but much more alert today. They finally changed his pain med from morphine to percocet which has made a world of difference! Don is getting ready to head down to get him a pizza! Wow!

Techs came in and got his head all hooked up to the computer and cleaned up his noggen! I have some pictures of his head unwrapped, but I warn you it's not pretty. I'll post a link to those later. I saw a photocopy of the CT scan of his brain once the grids were in place. It is truly amazing! Dr. Smith was able to lay grids with sensors (103 of them!) over virtually the entire left hemisphere of his brain through an amazingly small window!

Now we just wait. The hope is that he will start having seizures and that they will be able to accurately pinpoint where they are originating from. Then he'll be off for another more complicated surgery.......but we're not to that point yet.

As for me, I'm exhausted. Didn't get but maybe an hour's worth of sleep last night so I am just blitzed! I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight!

Thanks again to everyone who has called or sent notes -- just knowing that so many people are thinking of us and praying for us is such a blessing! CFN!
